Botanical Soothing Balm
Botanical Balm contains a beautiful blend of potent herbs that we have macerated in organic jojoba oil for many weeks to slowly extract their restorative and healing properties. Jojoba, Rosehip and Oat Oil have been blended with locally sourced beeswax to form a highly moisturising and soothing balm for the skin.

Our Balm is a multitasker. Use it on minor cuts, stings, scrapes, scars, dry itchy skin and to remove your make-up!

Beeswax:
Beeswax can create a protective layer to the skin. It is naturally water repellent without clogging pores and locking in hydration to keep skin feeling soft for longer.
PS: We use beewax instead of other waxes because it is a byproduct and when sourced locally it has a much smaller carbon footprint than the alternatives.
Jojoba Oil:
Jojoba naturally contains a balance of vitamins A, B, D, and E which are known as skin healing vitamins, as well as minerals like chromium, copper, and zinc, all of which nourish and protect skin from environmental stressors. Essential fatty acids omega 6 and 9 help to regenerate skin cells and repair damaged skin tissue. Jojoba’s wax ester fills the gaps between skin cells, soothes and slows their metabolism and protects skin against accelerated skin aging. Jojoba is naturally antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and hypoallergenic.
Rosehip Oil:

Rosehips are full of vitamin C, which makes rosehip oil a great tool for protecting your skin. The vitamin C in rosehip oil acts as an antioxidant, a substance that protects your cells against damage.
Oat Oil:
Highly emollient oil which conditions, soothe and calm dry and itchy skin. Rich in vitamin E complex,antioxidants and carotenoids.
Calendula Extract:
Calendula’s long history is a testament to its potent healing powers, and modern studies have confirmed its exceptional anti-inflammatory properties and effectiveness in helping to heal the skin. Certain triterpenoid compounds appear to inhibit a variety of bacteria, and this antioxidant’s power is said to reduce damage from oxygen radicals. The antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-hemorrhagic properties help decrease inflammation and swelling, soothe sunburns, rashes, and skin irritations.
Yarrow Extract:
As yarrow’s Latin name (Achillea millefolium) suggests its uses go far back to Greek mythology, Today the term Achilles heel refers to weakness but the myth emphasizes the amazing power of the yarrow herb. Its other names such as warrior plant or nosebleed point to the fact that yarrow played an important role during the war as a first-aid herb to stop bleeding and heal wounds on battlefields.
Yarrow possesses antibacterial and antiseptic properties that help the wound protect against bacteria.
Chamomile Extract:
Chamomile soothes,calms,moisturises irritated skin. It works wonders on itchy, irritated, red skin.
Plantain Extract:
Plantain has long been considered by herbalists to be a useful remedy for cough, wounds, inflamed skin or dermatitis, and insect bites.
Plantain Extract is a skin-soothing agent with antibacterial properties. It contains Allantoin, which is a powerful skin soothing agent that encourages cell growth. Plantian's wound healing properties are great for acne treatment and acne prevention. It promotes skin regeneration and reduces scarring.
DIRECTIONS:
Massage a thin layer of balm directly onto the skin to help soothe, soften and protect. It can be used top to bottom!
CARE:
Store in a cool dark place, this salve should be used within 6 months once it has been opened.
